If your changes appear to improve the render and you still have noise, then i would increase the max. Control if in the noisy area are more lights or so and use the render region to check if your changes improves the render. If you have a lot of lights in the room (windows, spots, area lights, … ) and the above kernel-settings still leaves noise in certains areas there is the option “Sampling Rate” left. Next thing would to check Caustics blur and GI Clamp. Then i would control the settings in the Adaptive Sampling section.Įxpected Exposure doesn´t helps much in this example, only rendertime is going up.

If you think, thats googd enough you can leave it there. Set every to 1 and look what happens when you change the settings. You will see a difference.įirst i would play with the diffuse, specular and scatter depth, what you really need for the render. Try to improve the other settings before cranking up the samples. Generell approach: In the Liveviewer use your renderregion feature to test your settings in the specific areas with noise instead of waiting for the whole image to finish. samples but at some point this doesn´t help much and your rendertime just goes up without a better result. (I am using the pathtracing kernel and activated adaptive sampling)

Noise appears in interior situations (rooms with small light source or small windows with a lot of different shadows, … obviously) There are some different approaches, depeding on the origin of the noise.
